Set multiple network settings

netprofiles_021.JPGIn my line of work, I travel to a lot of customers’ sites. And at each of the sites, I need to manually configure my network settings accordingly in order to be able to access the network and/or internet. Currently, I’m maintaining the list of IP addresses, proxy server and what not in a notepad, nicely saved on the desktop. Everytime I go a particular site, I need to open up my network connection setting and punch in the IP addresses, proxy server, etc. This has been going on for years.

A few minutes ago, I found a small utility that can store multiple network connection settings and with a click of a button, I can choose and enable any particular setting depending on the location/site that I’m in. It’s from Daniel Milner Consulting and it’s called Net Profiles.

I’ve yet to test the program. Just finished downloading and installing it on my laptop. Will try it out and give reviews accordingly. Hopefully, it’ll help me a lot in my daily job.
