Facebook officially launched the new design

After a few months of giving the new design as an option, Facebook today officially threw away the old design. Personally, I prefer the old design over the new one. The new design looks a bit “empty” with a lot of white spaces everywhere. I also noticed that the new design loads very much slower.

Among the new features that I noticed are:

• Application menu – previously located on the left sidebar, now sits on the right sidebar as well as at the bottom bar of the screen. I thought that this is rather good.
• Tabbed Feeds – News Feed, Status Updates, Photos, etc. are now placed in tabs on your main page.
